Celebrating the English Week, students were watching The Little Rascals movie. There were two shifts in order to control class management. After the movie, they had a snack. They liked the movie so much.

Fathers are special

to children at home

fathers are heroes

to daughters and sons.

LEARNING ENGLISH DIGITALLY

Teaching English applying technology is a wonderful experience that children enjoy a lot. When they are at the computer lab, they are asked to sing songs, dance and play interactive games surfing English sites for ESL so they can learn effectively.

TEACHING COLORS THROUGH SONGS

I love this song. Children like singing it during my English classes. It is easy and fun for kids. You can teach colors in context because students can identify colors through pictures. Those are first graders at Las Barreras Elementary School.

TEACHING LITERATURE...

Teaching Literature is a hard task for teachers to teach ESL students but this site is excellent for learning it effectively. I  use these stories during my English Lab classes and students really enjoy them.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION

What are we waiting for? Technology is everywhere and our students are digital learners. We must provide them opportunities to access learning as others are doing around the world. It is not possible that teachers are frustating their students teaching as 20 years ago while they are receiving a digital background at home through social networks, messenger, cell phones, Ipod and Ipad, etc. Fear is the main enemy of those teachers who pretend to apply computers only for typing homework assigments. We are living a new technological era. We need to be updated to be competent to face the society demands.
